Hey!

My name is Joe Tufte and I’m a filmmaker, actor, professor and creative based in South Florida.

I hold a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Acting from University of Wisconsin Stevens-Point, and a Master of Fine Arts in Film from Ohio University School of Film.

Currently, I’m employed at Miami-Dade College Kendall Campus in the Arts & Philosophy, Film & Digital Production Department teaching courses in Screenwriting, Editing and Film Production as a part-time adjunct faculty member, and working at Barry University in the Communication Department as the Media Production Specialist.

Three films my films have played at multiple film festivals across the US, most notably Athens International Film and Video Festival, and OUTshine LGBTQ+ Film Festival here in Southern Florida.

I starred in a supporting role in Fallen Fruit, which premiered at Miami Film Festival in 2024.

I’m currently represented by Applegate Agency, and always looking to land my next role in a film!

When not teaching, making movies, acting, or networking, I’m either rollerblading, practicing Japanese, reading comics or watching movies.
